Terms of Use — QuestMap

Welcome to QuestMap ("the App"), operated by Martin Condet, registered as auto-entrepreneur in France.

By using the App, you agree to these terms.


1. The App

QuestMap is an adventure tracking app. You create quests, pin them to map locations, complete them, attach photos, and earn badges. The App is available for iOS.

2. Free & Premium Content

The App includes 6 free quest categories and core features. Premium features (additional categories, cloud sync, photo backup, Year in Review) are available via annual subscriptions (Explorer at $7.99/year, Explorer Pro at $12.99/year).

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

All subscriptions are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.

4. User Content

You can create quests and attach photos. You are responsible for the content you create. You retain ownership of all content you add to the App.

5. Cloud Sync

If you enable cloud sync, your quest data is stored in Firebase Firestore and optionally AWS S3 (photos). You can delete all synced data at any time from Settings.

6. Location Services

The App uses your location to display your position on the map and suggest nearby quests. Location access is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

7. Intellectual Property

QuestMap, including its name, design, curated quest library, and code, is the intellectual property of Martin Condet. All rights reserved.

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is". Martin Condet disclaims all express or implied warranties to the extent permitted by law. The App should not be used for navigation or safety-critical purposes.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
