Terms of Use — Wyla
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Wyla ("the App") is operated by Martin Condet, registered as auto-entrepreneur in France. By downloading or using Wyla, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. What Wyla does
Wyla is an English pronunciation coach. You read a short text, the App scores every sound, plays a "native twin" of your own voice without the accent, and builds short daily lessons around the sounds that give your accent away.
Key features:
- A reading exam scored sound by sound, with a rank from D to S
- A native twin generated once from your onboarding reading
- Daily lessons (listen, say, use in a phrase) planned from your weakest sounds and your goals
- A sound map showing where you stand on 24 English sounds
- Day-1 vs today replays of your own recordings
Scores are produced by automatic speech technology. They are a training signal, not a certification of your English level.
2. Your voice
- Record only your own voice. You must not submit recordings of another person.
- The native twin is generated once, from your voice, for you. You may not use the App to imitate someone else.
- Recordings stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy for how scoring and the twin are processed.
3. Subscriptions and pricing
Wyla is free to download. The onboarding, including your native twin and your first score, is free. Daily lessons and the exam require Wyla Pro, an auto-renewing subscription:
- Yearly: $79.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial
- Monthly: $14.99 per month, no trial
- An introductory offer may be shown once: the first year at a reduced price, then $79.99 per year
Prices are shown in your local currency in the App Store and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you have not cancelled
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we cannot issue refunds ourselves
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the App, overload or attack our server, or use the App for anything unlawful.
5. Intellectual property
The App, its design, its phrases and its recorded native audio belong to Martin Condet. Your own recordings remain yours.
6. No guarantee of results
Progress depends on your practice. We do not guarantee any particular score, rank or outcome. The App may be unavailable at times, for example when a speech provider is down.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Martin Condet is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under French and EU law.
8. Changes
We may update the App and these terms. Material changes will be shown on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
