Privacy Policy — Decision Journal

Last updated: March 7, 2026

Decision Journal ("the App") is operated by Martin Condet, registered as auto-entrepreneur in France.

The short version

Your data stays on your device. iCloud sync uses your own Apple account. We do not track you.

1. Data Controller

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Decisions (question, category, pros, cons, importance scores, verdict)
  • Comparisons (options, criteria, weights, scores)
  • Tags and preferences (custom tags, theme selection, onboarding state)
  • In-app purchase receipts (managed by Apple)

This data is under your control. Deleting the App removes it permanently.

3. iCloud Sync (CloudKit)

If iCloud is enabled on your device, decision data may sync across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. This sync uses your personal Apple ID and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not operate or have access to the sync infrastructure.

4. Analytics & Tracking

None. We do not use any analytics SDK, crash reporting, advertising framework, or user behavior tracking.

5. In-App Purchases

The premium upgrade is processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store payment information.

6. Data Deletion

Delete individual decisions from within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all local data. iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud storage settings.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data. All data is stored locally or in your personal iCloud account, so it is entirely under your control.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not contain age-restricted content and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy before shipping any features that change data collection practices.
