1% Better ("the App") is operated by Martin Condet, registered as auto-entrepreneur in France.

The short version

We collect nothing. The App runs entirely on your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking.

1. Data We Collect

None. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

Specifically:

  • No account required. There is no sign-up, login, or authentication of any kind.
  • No analytics or tracking. We do not use any analytics SDK, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
  • No advertising. There are no ads and no ad-related data collection.
  • No network requests. The App works 100% offline. It does not connect to the internet.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • Habits you create (name, emoji, category, difficulty, frequency, reminder time)
  • Completion entries (date, XP earned, optional notes)
  • XP, level, and streak data
  • Your preferences (selected starter packs, notification settings)
  • In-app purchase receipts (managed by Apple, not by us)

This data never leaves your device. If you delete the App, this data is permanently erased.

3. Widget Data

The App includes a home screen widget. Widget data (today's progress, current level, streak count) is shared between the App and the widget via a local app group container on your device. This data is never transmitted over the internet.

4. iCloud Sync

The App uses Apple's CloudKit for optional data sync between your own devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

5. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs these transactions.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not contain age-restricted content. We do not knowingly collect any data from children — or from anyone — as the App collects no data at all.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Since we do not collect or process any personal data, there is nothing to access, rectify, or delete on our end. All data is on your device and under your control.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever add features that involve data collection, we will update this policy before those features ship and notify users in the App.
